Creative Wellbeing in Practice

For Organisations, Communities and Care Settings

Supporting organisations to embed creative, nature-based wellbeing in their work. The Creative Wellbeing in Practice Programme offers organisations a structured, research-informed approach to supporting wellbeing through creativity and connection with the natural world.

Developed through community research exploring the impact of art and nature on wellbeing, this programme enables organisations to build confidence, skills, and sustainable practice within your own teams. Through a combination of training, creative experience, and ongoing support, organisations are supported to integrate creative, reflective approaches into their existing work, in ways that are accessible, adaptable, and meaningful to the communities they serve.

Each programme is tailored to the group, drawing on the Art & Nature Connections framework and shaped to meet the needs of specific populations, including carers, young people, health groups, and community settings.

What This Offers

This is more than a one-off training. It is a supported pathway that allows organisations to:

  • Develop confidence in facilitating creative wellbeing sessions
  • Embed reflective, nature-based approaches into their work
  • Support staff and participants’ emotional wellbeing
  • Build a sustainable model that continues beyond the initial training

Who This Is For

The programme can be adapted for a wide range of groups, including:

  • Carers and support services
  • Youth and education settings
  • Individuals living with chronic illness
  • Community and voluntary organisations
  • Staff wellbeing programmes

Each programme is tailored to the needs of the organisation and the people they support.

How It Works

1

Phase 1: Training & Creative Practice (Initial Block)

A structured series of online sessions combining: • Understanding creative wellbeing approaches • Experiencing guided creative practices • Learning how to design and facilitate sessions • Developing confidence and skills
2

Phase 2: Embedding Practice (Ongoing Support)

Following the initial training, organisations are supported over a 6-12-month period through: • Reflective mentoring sessions • Ongoing guidance and consultation • Space to explore challenges and share learning • Continued connection to the wider programme

Organisations who may benefit from:

Regather
Supporting carers and staff to access gentle, creative spaces for reflection, connection, and emotional support. The programme builds confidence in facilitating simple, accessible creative sessions that can be embedded into existing carer support services—helping to reduce isolation, support wellbeing, and create meaningful opportunities for shared experience.
Open Ground
Supporting young people to explore identity, emotions, and wellbeing through creative and nature-based approaches. This programme equips staff and facilitators with tools to create safe, engaging spaces for expression, helping young people build resilience, self-awareness, and connection in a way that feels accessible and non-clinical.
Nature Within
Offering supportive, adaptable creative approaches for individuals living with long-term health conditions. The programme recognises fluctuating energy levels and accessibility needs, providing gentle, flexible ways to engage in creativity and reflection—supporting emotional wellbeing, identity, and connection.
Common Ground
Supporting inclusive, accessible wellbeing programmes that bring people together through creativity and shared experience. Organisations are equipped to facilitate sessions that foster connection, reduce isolation, and build community resilience. If you are interested in bringing this approach into your organisation, I would be delighted to discuss how the programme can be tailored to your needs.

If you would prefer a more personal space to explore creativity, reflection, and life challenges, 1–1 creative sessions are available online.
